Pokémon Go: What a coincidence! Bug helps with Community Day

Already in the days leading up to Community Day on August 14 and 15, 2021 in Pokémon Go, observant players have noticed a peculiarity that affects the evolution of Evoli into Nachtara and Psiana, respectively. Because suddenly there's no more walk requirement to evolve the two mon specifically. Meanwhile, this has also come to the attention of the developers at Niantic, and they are showing generosity in the face of the approaching Community Day event.

The bug will be fixed only after the Community Day

What exactly is the Evoli bug about? Typically, you'll need to travel ten kilometers with an Evoli as a buddy, earning two candies along the way, before you can fire up the evolution to Nightara (at night) or Psiana (during the day). But that very requirement falls flat until August 16, 2021 at 7:00 PM our time, which is well after Community Day.

So does that mean you can just make an Evoli a Psiana during the day and a Nightara at night, UNLESS

you made the Evoli your buddy. Because otherwise, the first evolutions come out during development: Flamara, Aquana, or Blitza, for example. For Community Day, this bug will be happily received by the community, after all, it will save them a good chunk of legwork. Maybe it's just as well that the bug won't be fixed for Community Day; after all, there's a whole lot of other trouble bubbling up in the PoGo community.Support buffed - it'll only take a minute.
