Could the legendary giants soon be getting an addition to Pokémon Go?

We're more than familiar with the three golems Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Over the past few years, they've been popping up in Pokémon Go on and off, and many players were getting sick of them given the frequency of their appearances. After all, there were a few other legendary Mon that you would have loved to get on your team - or you were still chasing a Dex entry or two.

At some point, long before the Corona Pandemic hit us and EX raids were still a thing, you could encounter Regigigas there - or spend money on a ticket to special research. But even quite a while after that, all trainers then got a chance to catch the leader of the former trio.

Galar turns quartet into sextet

The Snowlands of the Crown expansion to the Pokémon Shield and Sword editions brought two more representatives of the Regis.

  • Regieleki, the Electron-type Pokémon
  • Regidrago, the Dragon Orb-Type Pokémon

You can recognize the look of the Golems in these two, despite their unusual appearance. A bit of nerd trivia: Regidrago, for example, is the largest of all Regis after Regigigas. Regieleki, on the other hand, is the smallest.

With four Regis already in the game, it's not at all unlikely that the missing ones will soon be released into the wild and raids, respectively, by the makers of Pokémon Go. According to dataminers at Pokéminers (via Pokémon Go Hub), however, don't get your hopes up that Regieleki and Regidrago will be super prominent in the metagame - thanks to a nine percent damage nerf. Regidrago might still be able to shake up the ranks of good Dragon counters. Time will tell.

What do you guys think? Do you think we can catch Regieleki and Regidrago soon? And could the Galar variants of Arktos, Zapdos, and Lavados join the ranks?
