Pokémon Go: Buy raid passes on the fly now

Update June 15, 2021:

Surprise! Having just reported on the Pacific testing of an absolutely sensible feature, the developers at Niantic are now announcing the full deal. From now on, you can shop for a Premium Battle Pass or a Remote Raid Pass from the lobby of a raid in Pokémon Go worldwide without having to leave that lobby first. And: without having to watch your inventory, either. Yay! Have fun with this small but mighty adjustment!Recommended EditorialContentThisiswhere you'll find external content from [PLATTFORM]. Original post on June 14, 2021:

Our inventory overflowing with items in Pokémon GO is a common occurrence, but it can be really annoying sometimes. Because when we want to buy a Raid Pass with a full item bag, the game refuses us exactly that with a corresponding error message. But this could soon be an end.

Full pockets? You can still buy raid passes

The developers of Pokémon GO are currently testing a function that allows you to buy Remote Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes even if all the spaces in your trainer's inventory are actually packed with Pokéballs, potions, vivifiers, and the like.

There

was an announcement about this on Twitter:

Unfortunately, only players in Australia and New Zealand will be able to enjoy this feature as part of the testing phase for now.Still, for many fans, this change is a step in the right direction and a much-needed quality-of-life adjustment. In any case, the Pokémon GO community is very positive about the new feature under the corresponding Twitter message.

However, it is still unclear when the rest of the (Pokémon GO) world will be able to enjoy this change. It's quite possible that we'll have to wait a few more weeks or maybe even months before Niantic introduces the feature worldwide. It's also possible that the developers will decide not to include it in the live version of the game at all - but we think that's unlikely.

But now we want to know from you: What do you think of this innovation? Would you like to be able to buy raid passes regardless of inventory space? Let us know and write us your opinion below in the comments!
