Pokémon GO: Why you need Evoli as a buddy now

Fans of Pokémon GO have big things in store for December 2021: a two-day Community Day event will bring back all the Community Day Pokémon from 2020 and 2021 once again, special attacks included. However, there's apparently one thing different this time around that requires a bit of preparation on your part.

Feelinara and the 70 hearts

You'll also be able to evolve the Pokémon Evoli into Feelinara during Community Day in December, as you did in August 2021. But there's a catch: Unlike the previous Community Day with Feelinara, Niantic will probably not reduce the number of Buddy Hearts you need to evolve.

Normally, you need to collect 70 hearts for Evoli to evolve into Feelinara. Niantic had reduced this amount to seven hearts in August. But the developers are apparently not planning to do that for December, as Twitter user @GOStadiumPvP claims to have heard from Niantic itself. Niantic's official statement:
"Feelinara will not receive a reduced buddy heart requirement

We advise you to start working on it now. "

So you'll need to start collecting buddy hearts early if you want to evolve Evoli into Feelinara on December Community Day. It is impossible to collect 70 buddy hearts in one day. So potential development candidates you catch during Community Day will fall flat for development.

Basically, as it stands right now:

• Evoli will appear as a Community Day Pokémon on the second day of the December event, December 19, 2021.
• You have until December 20, 2021 to evolve Evoli into Feelinara.
• Feelinara learns the charge attack Psycho Shock during Community Day evolution.

If there are any changes to the requirements for the Buddy Hearts before Community Day, we will inform you as soon as possible. But if you want to be on the safe side, you should start collecting hearts now.
