Pokémon GO: Beware of wrong translation for mini-jungle cup

After formats such as the Element Cup and the Halloween Cup, the next event in the Pokémon Go Battle League will take place on September 27. In the Mini Jungle Cup, you can use Pokémon with a maximum of 500 HP. They must also be either Normal, Plant, Electric, Poison, Ground, Flight, or Beetle type. Pottrott and Farbeagle are locked for this mini-cup.

As Reddit user Tackleman notes, however, there is still a crucial error in the German translation of the rules.

The German client states that only Pokémon that cannot be evolved may participate. So for example Lapras or Skaraborn. But this is wrong!

Beware of the wrong translation in Pokémon GO

When in doubt, the English client always says right. Here, the rules for the Mini Jungle Cup state that Pokémon do not need to be evolved to participate

. So you can choose a Glurak with under 500 WP, for example, or you can choose to boost a Glumanda.

This is a crucial difference. So if you're already preparing for the Cup, you don't have to pick Pokémon that can't evolve, you just have to keep in mind the 500 WP cap and mandatory types when building your team. Again, evolution level doesn't matter.

Have you already prepared your Mon for the Mini Jungle Cup and possibly fallen for the wrong translation, or are you playing with English voice acting anyway? What Pokémon are you focusing on most? Let us know in the comments!
